Who Can Change the World?

THE political buzzword “change” has been flashed throughout Obama’s campaign, and McCain has also been trying to convince the nation that he will bring “change” as he affirms that he is “not Bush.”  Many feel that nothing is truly going to change in the USA unless things go from bad to worse and then to disastrous.

A possible decision to recall the US military from Iraq may not be a policy of change, but the US government may do so as a military strategy to reinstate the US forces in another region of American interest. Because of financial restraints as well as manpower, the US forces cannot deploy to another country without recalling American troops from Iraq. Military deployment may be heightened to Afghanistan, Pakistan, the border of Afghanistan and Pakistan, and the border of Iran and Pakistan (Baluchistan).  The sole purpose would be for the destruction and oppression of two more major Muslim nations, Pakistan and Iran.

The US’s Iraq mission has been accomplished. The country’s infrastructure has successfully been destroyed; bombing has leveled the. Another million innocent civilians have been killed, adding to the million deaths in Iraq before the American aggression, at the time of economic sanctions in Iraq. Iraq is divided into Sunni, Shia and Kurd lines, and the eruption of infighting and civil wars has widened and intensified the divide.. The US took control of the country’s oil, the main resource of Iraq, and the US is silent about what happened to the gold bars and other treasures the US government looted from Iraq and shipped out of the country on Air Force C-130 cargo carriers.  Profiting from war and violence, the US mega corporations got contracts to rebuild Iraq. With a permanent arrangement for their benefit, the corporations will be paid from Iraq’s income of oil. The Iraq regime has been replaced by US corporations. The US’s private military and security companies, with the recruitment of local people, will mange the law and order in Iraq’s critical areas to protect the US mega corporations’ interests.

The “change” in Iraq will bring another disaster to another Muslim nation. As Muslims, we shouldn’t be fooled with the slogan of “change.” This change will be like another punch in our belly. This change will bring disaster after disaster. 

The international hegemony of Zionists, Israeli forces, and the mega corporations (with the help of US military, economic, and political power) is bringing the blood pools of Muslims. The blood of Muslims is cheaper than that of any other creature on this earth. In the US, you will find organizations to protect wildlife, animals, birds, insects, whales, frogs, forests, and trees, but no organization to protect and save the lives of Muslims.

A Muslim’s life was the most sacred thing in the Islamic teachings. The killing of an innocent Muslim was the most heinous crime, even more heinous than the destruction of the Kaaba, the most sacred place for Muslims. Islam teaches, “The killing of an innocent human being is like the killing of all the people of the world.”

The Muslims are the most oppressed people of the earth. More than two-thirds of refugees, displaced people, and those living without home and home country are Muslims. After 9/11, Muslims’ deaths due to bombings and attacks exceeded a million. The corporate media, however, project Muslims as the terrorists and Muslim killers as saviors of the world.  The imperial, occupying, and oppressive power and its forces have awarded themselves the full right to capture the Muslim lands, utilize their resources, kill the citizens, and control everything. However, any resistance, any dissent, any liberation efforts in those countries are termed “terrorist acts,” and doers of these acts are “terrorists” and “uncivilized” people living in the most “uncivilized” countries.

The self-proclaimed “civilized” and “enlightened” nations and democracies of the world have assumed the mission to export “civilization” to the world, thereby eradicating “terrorism” from these “ignorant” nations and communities. This explains why the oldest, most established, and “enlightened” democracy of the USA has the right to control the world and export the liberal democracy to the world no matter how many people are killed in the process and regardless of whether or not the Muslim citizens want the American brand of democracy..  The “only democracy” of the Middle East, Israel, has the right to occupy Palestine, invade Palestinian lands, and kill any number of Palestinian men, women, and children.. And the “largest democracy” of India has the right to occupy the land of Kashmir, massacre the minorities, and ethnic cleanse the Muslims. This is the “democracy” that is the most “sacred” political system of the world. Any act of dissent is a terrorist act and will be crushed by these democracies.  The state terrorism of these nations is their “enshrined” right.

No one has ever brought change to the world except God (Allah), His messengers, and followers of the messengers. As a follower of Allah, followers of all the messengers of Allah, including Muhammad (s.a.w.), the last messenger of Allah, believers in all the divine books, including the last and most universal book of Allah, Al-Qur’an, Muslims are the only group of people who can bring change to this world. As Muslims, we have to believe in the universal message of Islam, and we have to educate according to it, we have to train according to it, we have to act according to it, and we have to lead the world according to it. We have to be confident about success, and we have to believe in the success of the hereafter, our final destiny.

“Ye are the best of peoples, evolved for mankind, enjoining what is right, forbidding what is wrong, and believing in Allah” (Al-Qur’an 3:110).
