NEW YORK-10 MILLION Muslims of US and Canada are Celebrating Eid on Friday and Saturday.

However, several Arab and Afghan groups who traditionally follow the moon sighting announcement from Saudi Arabia are offering Eid prayer on Friday.
Daily Muslims wishes heartiest Eid greetings to all.
US President George W. Bush on Thursday greeted Muslims in the US and around the world on the occasion.
"The great faith of Islam has enhanced our society and brought comfort and strength to generations in America and around the world," Bush said.
"Our Nation is proud to be a land of many beliefs, and our society is enriched by our Muslim citizens.
On the first day of Shawwal, the first month of the Islamic calendar, may people of all faiths reflect on the values we hold in common, including love of family, the importance of community, and gratitude to God," he said
New York's Empire State Building will be lit up in green this week to honor the Eid-ul-Fitr.
This is the first time the building will be illuminated for the festival. Eid-ul-Fitr is expected to begin Friday.
Officials say the green lighting will become an annual event, following the tradition of colored lights at the tower to mark the Christian holiday Christmas and the Jewish celebration of Hannukah.
The Empire State Building dominates the New York skyline, and became the city's tallest building when the World Trade Center Towers were destroyed in 2001.
Soaring 1,454 feet above Midtown Manhattan, the Empire State Building was recently named America’s most favorite building in the poll conducted by American Institute of Architects.
Eid Prayers will be held over thousand of venues of Islamic Centers, Masajid, Community Halls, Churches, Schools, Gymnasiums, and Convention Centers all over USA and Canada.
