CENTRAL Chief of Jamaat-e- Islami [Pakistan (JIP)], Qazi Hussain Ahmed, while rejecting the U.S. [illegal] idea of hot pursuit of [Pakistanis and Afghans] in the tribal areas of Pakistan, here Sunday said any such [unlawful] pursuit would be considered as aggression against the country and the [Pakistani] nation would fully resist it. "We will respond in the same coin, if the U.S. led forces take any action in the [Pakistan] tribal areas," Qazi told reporters after addressing a gathering at a religious seminary in a suburban village of Peshawar.

He said: "We consider U.S. interference in our internal matters as a war against Pakistan; therefore, the [Pakistani] people would not allow such intervention."

The JIP Amir [President] urged the [PPP] Government to review its foreign policy, particularly that pertaining to the U.S. "The [PPP] Government should make it clear to the U.S., if it wants to remain friendly with Pakistan, we would continue friendship with it, but if it resorts to animosity, we would adopt the same behavior," he added.

The [PPP] Government should also tell the
troops should be withdrawn from there and let the people of both the countries [ U.S., if it tried to intervene in Pakistani territories, a befitting response would be given to it, added Qazi Hussain Ahmed. He said that the only solution to U.S. browbeats and ongoing tension in the [Pakistan] tribal region is that the pro-U.S. policy [pro-Bush-Cheney Dictatorship policy] should be done away with and a free foreign policy should be adopted, by taking the [Pakistani] people into confidence.

The JIP chief said that the country is passing through a very sensitive juncture of its history. The law and order situation in the country, particularly in the [Pakista] tribal areas and NWFP has worsened, and added that the [PPP] Government should work out a
reasonable and effective policy to overcome the prevailing problems wisely and carefully. For the purpose, the [PPP] Government should take all the political forces into confidence, he maintained.

In response to a question, he said that there is no threat to Peshawar or any other city of the country from [fictitious] Taliban or other [illusionary] militant organizations. If there is any threat to the [Pakistani] country, it is from the U.S. and its agents.

Qazi Hussain Ahmad observed that there is a threat of U.S. attack on the [Pakistani] country. In order to avert the threat and maintain the free and sovereign status of the country, he said all the political and religious forces should be united on a single platform.

He said it is the duty of the political and religious forces to protect the sovereignty of the [Pakistani] country and nuclear assets from foreign aggression.

Qazi urged the U.S. to withdraw its [armed] forces from Afghanistan and Iraq, while the international community should ensure the right of self-determination of the people of Kashmir.

He alleged that U.S. policies in Iraq and Afghanistan have failed, as the U.S. [Bush-Cheney Tyranny] only massacred the Muslims in both the countries instead of doing anything for their betterment. Therefore, the U.S.Iraqand Afghanistan] decide their future.

Regarding the restoration of judges of the superior judiciary, Qazi Hussain Ahmad said that [all] the [illegally removed] judges could be restored through an Executive Order [of the PPP Prime Minister, Yousaf Raza Gilani].
