LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Qazi Hussain Ahmad has said that Gen Musharraf's wrong policies have brought American war to the doors of GHQ where Pakistani troops are being killed in bomb blasts, while the army is helpless in this situation and people are feeling extremely insecure.
If Gen Musharraf continued in power the very existence and security of the country could be in grave dangers while Pakistani nuclear assets could go into the hands of Musharraf's masters, he said while addressing a public meeting at Degree College Ground, Buner on Wednesday where JI NWFP secretary general Shabbir Ahmad Khan, JI Buner ameer Mohammad Hanif, Shabab-e-Milli president Abdul Ghaffar, Buner Bar Association president Shamsur Rehman, president All Pakistan Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Sardar Saran Singh and former speaker NWFP assembly Bakht Jahan Khan also addressed the gathering. Qazi expressed serious concerns over increasing crises of power, gas and Atta, and stressed that boycott of fraud elections is necessary to get rid of the illegal rule of Military and civil bureaucracy in order to restore country's constitution, sovereignty and rule of law.
Qazi said Gen Musharraf is totally unacceptable for the nation any further since he had bulldozed the judiciary, subjugated the election commission and destroyed all other state institutions to continue his illegal rule for implementing US agenda in the country. He said coming elections are fraud and have already been rigged so that new government could not changed Gen Musharraf's policies which are actually against the country and Islam. He said JI is not against contesting elections and democracy, but we have boycotted the elections because it is a drama being staged to provide legitimacy to the Bush-Mush agenda in the country with the help of a sham parliament and fake elections. He said JI will first change the existing exploitative and foreign-dictated system and then contest elections to serve the people after coming to power again.
