Q: What are Quranopathy and Roohanipathy?

A: Quranopathy (koor-an-o-pa-thee) and Roohanipathy (roo-han-i-pa-thee) combine for a complete system of treating and healing spiritual and physical diseases. In Quranopathy, Qur’anic verses are used during a form of deep, therapeutic meditation. In Roohanipathy, oral and written exorcising exercises incorporate spiritual texts, words, letters, signs, and numerals during a meditative state. It is important that the exorcising is free of shirk or anything else that would separate a person from Allah’s grace.

Q: What are the words, letters, texts, signs and numerals, and how can they heal?

A: There are several sources:

  1. The main source is Al-Qur’an, the words that God revealed to the last and final Messenger of God, Muhammad (S.), through Angel Gabriel. Al-Qur’an itself says: a. “And We reveal of the Qur’an that which is a HEALING and a mercy for believers” (17:82). b. “O Mankind! There has come to you indeed an admonition from your Lord, and a HEALING for what is in the hearts, and a guidance and a mercy for the believers” (10:57). c. “Say: It is, to those who believe, a guidance and a HEALING” (41:44). Muhammad (s.a.w.), Rasool (Messenger) of Allah, has himself said, “Khair ud dawaa ul Qura’an” (“The best medicine is the Qur’an”) (Sunan Ibn Maja). Imam Ibn al-Qayyim al-Jawziyya (b. 691AH, 1292 CE – d. 751 AH,1350 CE), in his famous book Zãd al-Ma‘ãd, writes, “Qur’an is complete cure of all the diseases whether there is a disease of heart (i.e., spiritual disease) or a physical, body disease, whether it is related to this world or hereafter.” This is “Quranopathy.”
  1. The words and verses used by Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) to treat and cure spiritual and physical diseases can be found in the books of Ahadith (sayings and practices of Muhammad (s.a.w.), Rasool of Allah. When Rasool (s.a.w.) became sick, Angel Gabriel descended and pronounced some verses of meditation.
  1. There are also words and sentences pronounced by other Messengers of Allah and recorded in Ahadith. It is a well known fact that Eesa (the Arabic/Aramaic for ‘Jesus’) (a.s.) performed miracles to heal chronic diseases and to give sight to the blind, and he practiced meditation. Once when Eesa was traveling, he saw a cow having severe birth pangs. The cow, through a communication understood by the prophets, asked Eesa, “O Kalimah of Allah! Pray to Allah for ease in my child’s birth.” Eesa prayed certain words, and the cow easily pushed the calf from her belly. Those words are recorded, and we now use them to ease child delivery.. The words can be written and given to a pregnant woman as a Tawiz. Imam Ahmed (r.) quoted several references explaining that the written words can be washed in a pot of water, and then the water can be sprayed on the lower part of the pregnant body.
  1. We may also look to the Amliat (practices) of our elders and ancestors in faith. Reciting and implementing certain verses of Qur’an, the ninety-nine attributes of Allah, several kinds of Daroods [praises for Muhammad, the Rasool of Allah (s. a.w.), recited certain times create magical powers and can heal diseases and solve various problems of life.
  1. Any word, sentence, sign, or numeral that is free from Shirk may be used. (Shirk is attributing any partnership and relationship to God, or believing that He is sharing His power or authority with anyone, or believing that He is a child of anyone or that He has child. Shirk is a great transgression. Any words or attributes with Shirk is antipathy of Roohanipathy). If any shirk-free word or sentence can cure any disease, and if people of any belief have practiced it successfully over and over, we can use it in the light of Ahadith: a. Any exorcising can be used if it is free from shirk (Muslim). b. The words of wisdom are the lost treasure of Muslims.

Q: Who may practice Quranopathy and Roohanipathy?

A: A person must have these attributes:

1. He or she must be a Muslim (in that he or she has completely surrendered to Allah) and a Muahhid (one who believes in the oneness of Allah).

2. He or she must believe in all the prophets and messengers of Allah, including the last and final messenger Muhammad (s.a.w.).

3. He or she must respect all the companions and family members of Muhammad (s.a.w.) Rasool of Allah.

4. He or she must respect all of our elders and ancestors in faith.

5. He or she must be able to ponder the meanings of Qur’an and Hadith and use the words intelligently to heal diseases and alleviate problems.

6. He or she must be knowledgeable in the science and methodology of Roohanipathy.

7. He or she must be a student of a teacher who knows the science of Roohanipathy, and he or she must have the teacher’s Ijazat (permission) to practice it. The teacher must be a pious and practicing Muslim and must have gone through different Amliat (spiritual practices) while living under the Shariah.

Q: Can someone practice Quranopathy and Roohanipathy professionally and be compensated?

A: Yes! Just like doctors of allopathic, homeopathic and other medical alternatives,, the practitioner of Quranopathy and Roohanipathy can charge fees. Here I will quote two ahadith for examples!

  1. The uncle of Kharja Bin Salat, after embracing Islam, returned to his tribe and then treated a crazy person with the help of Surah Fatiha. He was paid with 100 goats (or, in some quotes, it was one goat). When the news reached Muhammad (s.a.w.), Rasool of Allah, Muhammed (s.a.w.) appreciated him and said, “People are earning from false mantras; you earned by treating from the true verses” (quoted by Kharja Bin Salat (Sunan Abu Dauood and others).
  1. Some companions of Muhammad (s.a.w.), Rasool of Allah, stayed with a tribe while they were traveling. A person of that tribe (which was the leader of the tribe, according to some quotes) had been bitten by a poisonous snake (according to some sources).. One person of the tribe asked these companions (r.a) if they had any treatment for this (snake) bite. One of the companions (r.a.) went to the patient and treated him with the help of Surah Fatiha. The companion was compensated with one goat (or 100 goats, according to some sources). After the companion returned to his friends, they criticized him, saying, “Did you have compensation for reading the words of Allah? How you could do that?” They continuously argued till they reached Madina, and then the case was presented in the court of Muhammad (s.a.w.), Rasool of Allah. “O Rasoool of Allah, he received compensation for reciting the Qur’an,” they complained. Rasool (s.a.w.) of Allah gave his judgment: “You have the right to get [fair] compensation for the Book of Allah” (Sahih Bukhari).

3. Aurangzeb Alamgir, a pious Muslim Mughal King of India, was not getting paid from the government treasury, and he was earning money by writing (calligraphy) of Al-Quran. Hence, it is a wrong concept and understanding that the person who reads, writes, teaches, treats, and heals from Al-Qur’an should not be compensated. The above mentioned ahadith proves that the doctor of Roohanipathy should be heavily compensated. Calculate the dollars of the value of 100 goats by today’s price.

Q: What do you think about adopting this profession?

A: It is one of the noblest professions one can imagine. Modern medical science can be used to diagnose some diseases, but several diseases, particularly spiritual diseases, can’t be diagnosed by any other system of medical science. And several (or most) diagnosed diseases can’t be treated by any medicine because of the complete control of pharmaceutical industry by capitalists who manufacture medicine on the economic philosophy of making profits only (profiteerism). Therefore, any typical disease can only be controlled by using medicine for the whole life, but it will never be cured.

If a doctor of Roohanipathy can cure those diseases, who deserves more respect and reward?

Q: Explain what is meant by spiritual diseases?

A: The first of them is linked to black magic, practiced by Satanic forces for thousands of years. It is a demonic act of Satan. The nation of Prophet Salman (a.s.) had been extensively practicing it, particularly by men wanting to separate wives from their husbands so that the satanic men could marry other men’s wives. Black magic had also been used against Muhammad (s.a.w.), Rasool of Allah, and he became severely sick for several weeks until Allah disclosed the secret and told His messenger who did it, how he did it, and how it could be treated and cured. It is a known fact now that in overthrowing the Ottomon Khilafah of Turkey, along with several political, economic, and social factors, black magic performed by world’s top magicians played a crucial role. Nowadays in Indo Pak subcontinent, black magic is very common. I have treated several Pakistani and Indian men, women, and youth, living in North America, who were affected by black magic executed by their jealous relatives with the help of those who know this dirty work. Most of the “BABAS” advertising in the community newspapers under the banner of “Solve all your problems” are in fact practicing black magic. People are paying these BABAS heavily to settle enmity and jealousy. In most cases, they attack their close relatives after dispute over marriage and property. Black magicians are attracting those customers by announcing that they have captured Jinns and all other “good” and evil spiritual forces.

People who are affected from black magic could be sick, their minds might be affected and they can become crazy, and they may even die. An affected husband and wife might be separated or living in an abusive relationship or living without intimacy. The suffering will intensify with the passage of time. Black magic can’t be treated without spiritual meditation. And I doubt that any other texts or words, other than the verses of Qur’an (Allah’s words) can treat black magic 100%.. I apply Qur’anic verses to cure black magic.

The second type of spiritual disease is “shadow” on the person. It happens sometimes when someone passes through an abandoned place or stayed in a deserted house already inhabited by creatures that can’t be seen by human eyes). The shadow creatures might fall in love with that person or the person’s children. There are two kind of shadows --white shadows (Jinns) and black shadows (Satan and dirt, which may be called spiritual parasites). I can diagnose and treat these cases.

A third type of spiritual disease is the curse of evil eyes. Hafiz Ibne Hajar (Rah.) has defined it: “When an evil person sees another person with the jealous eye, then the person might be affected by the eye and will start suffering.” Sometimes the effects of bad eyes are like black magic. It might be reflected in severe physical diseases and accidents. The troubles may encircle the person.

Alhamdulillah, with the help of Allah’s words, I can guarantee 100% cures from all spiritual diseases.

Q. How you can convince the people that words and verses can cure diseases and problems?

A: A person while waiting in the waiting lounge of a doctor’s clinic started convincing the patients that, instead of paying heavy fees to these doctors knowing that the disease can’t be cured by the doctor, one should try Roohani (spiritual) meditation. He convinced some of the patients, and they left the clinic to follow his advice. When it came to the notice of the doctor, he became angry and criticized Roohani meditation as orthodoxy, rubbish, and stupidity. In response, the person cursed the doctor and said some filthy words against the doctor. The doctor became crazy and started shouted loudly against the person. The person, while standing coolly, asked the doctor if pronouncing some filthy words can change your whole personality and made you sick, why then can the finest and holiest words of Allah and his messenger not affect a person positively and cure the patient? Finally, the doctor was convinced.

Q: What is the historical perspective? How you can prove that it is the tradition of Sunnah and Salf (ancestors of Islam)?

A: There are several examples of spiritual treatment by Muhammad (s.a.w.), Rasool of Allah. In the Ghazwa (war) of Uhad, Qatada Bin Noman’s eye was seriously injured and hanging on his face. Muhammad (s.a.w.), Rasool of Allah, fixed the eye by his own hand, and that eye became more beautiful than the first eye.

Abu Hurairah (r.) complained about his short memory. Rasool (s.a.w.) of Allah asked him to spread his robe, and he (s.a.w.) puffed the robe, and then he asked him to wrap it around his chest. After this incident, Abu Hurairah (r.) reported that every word he was able to remember every word forever. There were several examples mentioned in Ahadith in which he (s.a.w.) treated the people affected by Jinn or shadow.

Ali (r.) said that the recitation of Surah Al-Annam in front of patients would heal their diseases. A king of the Roman Empire wrote a letter to Omar (r.) and asked if he had any cure for a headache with which he was seriously affected. Omar (r.) sent a head cover with an Ayah of Qur’an hidden under the head cover. The king wore it and got relief from the headache. He was surprised to note that when he wore the head cover he felt the headache gone, but it reappeared whenever he took off the head cover.

There is a famous historical incident related to Omar (r.) about a spiritual, written order of Omar (r.) to the River Nile. The river Nile traditionally stopped its flow at one place, and the Mushrikeen (idolaters) had to slaughter a virgin girl at that point. The River Nile restarted its flow after receiving the blood of the virgin girl. Omar (r.) wrote a letter to the River Nile and asked the river to flow by its own force, and, if she couldn’t do it, to stop flowing forever.. He asked his companion to drop the letter in the river. The River Nile received the powerful spiritual message of Omar (r.) and started its flow and never ended. Nile is the longest river in the world, flowing about 6,677 km (4,150 miles) through eastern Africa from its most remote sources in Burundi to a delta on the Mediterranean Sea in northeast Egypt.

The modern researches on water also prove that water has the power to receive and transmit messages. Imam Ibn al-Qayyim has written, “A group of ancestors in Islam strongly believe that the water, washed with the written Ayahs of the Qur’an, should be given to the patients to drink.” This is the way to transmit the message of Allah by using water as a communing agent.

Anas (Raz.) has reported that Muhammad (s.a.w.), Rasool of Allah, has permitted exorcising (Ruqyah in Arabic, Jhar phunk in Urdu) in the case of suffering from the effect of bad eyes, boils and pimples on the body, and poisonous animal bites. Imam Ibn al-Qayyim (Rah.) in his book Zãd al-Ma‘ãd explains the hadith and says it doesn’t mean that the exorcising is allowed only in three types of diseases, but the hadith only emphasizes that exorcising is better in these three diseases. He said about himself that he had been attacked by an unknown disease while he was in Makkah. He writes, “I didn’t find any physician for the treatment, and I used Surah FatihaZamzam water to treat myself.” and

People affected by spiritual and physical diseases were queuing to get the treatment from Shaikh ul Islam Imam Imam Ibn Taimiyah (Rah.), the teacher of Imam Ibn al-Qayyim (Rah.). He was successfully curing patients suffering from all kinds of spiritual and physical diseases. Imam Ibn al-Qayyim (Rah.) has written that a person suffering from nose bleed came to his teacher for treatment, and he (Imam Ibn Taimiyah) wrote Ayah 44 of Surah Hud from Al-Qur’an (Meaning: “Then the word went forth: ‘O earth! Swallow up thy water, and O sky! Withhold (thy rain)!’ and the water abated, and the matter was ended”). He noticed that the patient was cured. You can see how smartly (it was his own innovation, no one did it before) Imam Ibn Taimiyah used this Ayah revealed in Qura’an about the flood of Prophet Noah (a.). He treated the human forehead as an earth, and nose bleed as a rain, and wrote this Ayah (Allah’s order to swallow the water) on the forehead to treat the nose-bleeding patient.

Abdullah Bin Al-Mubarak (Rah.) used to recite some Kalimah (sentences) praising Allah, to cure all kinds of diseases. It is recorded that he successfully cured all the patients.

Q: How did you start?

A: I have learned it from a Muttaqi (Allah-loving) and Muahhid (believing in oneness of Allah) teacher and got his permission (Ijazah) to practice it, and I started in January 2007.
