KING Abdullah of Saudi Arabia says the Bush administration's approach to Iran and the country's nuclear program has been 'wrong'.
In a Tuesday meeting with chairman of Iran's Expediency Council Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi-Rafsanjani in Jeddah, King Abdullah said his country has warned the White House over the policy.
Washington accuses Tehran of developing a military nuclear program.Iran, however, maintains that its nuclear activities are aimed at producing electricity and other peaceful purposes.
The Bush administration claims it is committed to a 'dual-track strategy' in dealing with Iran: to employ 'the threat of punitive measures along with offering incentives' to the country.
Iran argues that under the Non-Proliferation Treaty, it has the right to enrich uranium for civilian uses and the West calls for the suspension of its uranium enrichment activities have no legal basis.
